Historical overview:
The METZ company was founded in 1938 in Nuremberg and is known for its high-end models. In 2015, Skyworth, a Chinese electronics retailer, joined METZ. The S9A in detail
Visually, it’s noticeable at first that the S9A has an almost borderless display that is slightly tilted backward. It’s just 3.9 mm deep, so the TV fits perfectly into any living room. The OLED is supported by a stand on the back. The fabric cover at the bottom rounds of the design and behind it there are six forward radiating loudspeakers. In addition, a sound bar with a 2-way bass reflex system is also integrated and ensures that great DTS and Dolby Surround sound is heard in the living room.
As far as resolution is concerned, the 4K-OLED comes with Ultra-HD and HDR. But not only an excellent picture quality is given with it, but thanks to the 10-bit color depth also amazing black values are reached, whereby excellent contrast and detail variety are ensured. The extended color gamut enriches any movie experience and high dynamic range images and a wide range of color information are guaranteed.
Finally, the S9A comes with a total of three HDMI ports, two USB ports, a CI+ slot, LAN port, AV input, and optical S/PDIF output.
The TV’s operating system is Android 8.0, which offers access to a considerable amount of content. In addition to television and the latest series, you can also bring great games and the best apps into your living room via Google Play Store and search specifically for movie titles, for example. Best of all: The Google Assistant is also on board and lets you browse the content via voice search, which makes the operation of the S9A child’s play. In addition, pictures, videos and so on can be transferred from smartphone, tablet and PC to the TV via Chromecast in no time at all. In addition, the wireless connection with the integrated WLAN is also no problem – goodbye to tangled cables!
