Now In-Store: The Active HDMI Cable from AudioQuest

Last year, AudioQuest released a new generation of active HDMI cables that deliver great sound. The three new models - Pearl, Forest and Cinnamon - promise a combination of performance and reliability. It offers users the option to transfer HDMI 2.0 and 18 Gbps.

As already known from Audioquest, all HDMI cables with a maximum length of ten meters carry the “High Speed with Ethernet” specification. They correspond to the maximum data rate of 10.2 Gbps for HDMI and transmit in 4K. Audioquest has upgraded the cables: the new ones now use a combination of chipsets and active equalization, which also makes the cables at least ten meters up to this standard and, as already mentioned, HDMI 2.0 and 18 Gbps transfer.

The cables consist of long-crystalline copper conductors and high-density polyethylene insulation and are precisely worked. The selected copper provides a balanced, clear sound because it prevents distortion. These occur when the signals interfere with each other. The copper counteracts this. The polyethylene insulation has the task to shield the cable from external influences.

As the main focus in developing the new 4K HDR cables was on HDMI audio/video applications, the cables from AudioQuest naturally also impress with their sound reproduction. In addition, they transmit data including high-resolution multichannel audio, 1080p, 4K UltraHD, HDR and Blu-ray Ultra HD.

For questions about the right length and the ideal compatibility, we are happy to advise you.
